Content Patch Test

Alongside the ladder reset we will be releasing Patch #22 (Minium). We will be deploying this patch early to an alternate test realm for playtesting prior to the season start. All details pertaining to this Patch Test will be posted in a separate news post with instructions on how to join the test realm. We aim to give players at least a week of early testing to find any bugs or balance issues in the content patch. We will try to give players as much time as possible but we don't have an exact date & time yet. Stay tuned for more information on that in the coming days.

Patch Notes Livestream

The patch notes for P22:Minium will be released a couple days before the content patch test. The exact date will be determined in the coming days. The goal is to announce the patch notes and the start of the patch test period at least a week prior to the season start but hopefully sooner. In order to post the full patch notes online, the notes first need to be rewritten from rough notes to full & clear sentences formatted into a reddit post. Usually this can take a couple hours, therefore in the past I (GreenDude) have livestreamed the patch notes writing session alongside the community and I plan to do so again this season. It is always fun to see the live chat reaction to the notes line by line. Season 12 Ladder Rankings

Season 12 ladder rankings ended on September 8th, as announced previously, to allow a relic beta to occur on the main realm. You may visit the ladder page on our website to see the final standings. Congratulations to Retro- (HC) and Vix (SC) for being first to reach level 99. And to Darain (HC) and Mackanmusic (SC) for first Infernal Diablo. The profile badges for top 5 of each class and first kills will be awarded in the days prior to the ladder start.

Main Realm Maintenance

Patch #22 will bring many new changes that will require some maintenance work on the main realm. The plan is to take down the main realm only once the PTR realm is online and ready for testing the new changes. This means you may only have a few more days to do any last minute tests, or inventory management before the realm becomes inaccessible until reset day.

Non-Ladder Characters

On reset day, existing characters will be converted over to non-ladder. We always release big patches, alongside ladder resets, that can alter skills or items which could corrupt your character save files. Fortunately, there are ways to make sure your character safely transfers to non-ladder. You can solve this by resetting your character's skills and muling away their gear before the patch hits. This means no matter what changes are implemented in patch #22, your character save file should not get corrupted. While characters will be transferred to non-ladder, the stash will not. This is because the stash is now account wide rather than per character. Therefore, transferring the ladder stash to non-ladder would result in wiping player's non-ladder stashes which they may prefer to preserve. This means anything you want to transfer into non-ladder must be placed on a character's equipment or inventory before the maintenance begins in a few days. Please act now if you want to preserve your stash items. Lastly, I must warn that any item containing 'Damage/Magic Damge Reduced by X', 'Absorb' or 'Absorb%' must be destroyed before maintenance day otherwise the character holding the item will become corrupted.This is only a concern for players who wish to play non-ladder after the patch. If you plan on playing ladder you can ignore all of it.
