The following dungeon areas have been added/changed in Path of Diablo.


What are Maps?

Maps are different areas where players can find end-game items. Items called relics will drop in level 85 areas. These can be used to open end-game areas called maps. The area of a map can be vast.


Maps can have a much increased monster density.

Increased Area Level: benefits both magic finding and leveling.

Map affixes can be modified. Modifying maps can give the +200% Gold and Magic Find affix or a preferrable set of affixes.


Additional Information:

Higher tier maps drop in maps.

One map portal can be opened in each game.

Currently, Musty Crypt and Desecrated Temple don't have a guarantee of a relic drop or boss.

How to enter a Map

1). Identify map.

2). You need to be in Hell mode with a minimum character level of 80.

3). Done the Ancients (Rite of Passage) quest.

4). To enter a map, the player must place it on the altar in Malah's shop in Harrogath. The map is consumed and makes a red portal to the map.

Map Tiers

Colours represent a map's tier.

White maps should be slightly challenging for a single player.

Yellow maps should be a moderate challenge for a few players.

Red maps should be a difficult challenge for a full party.

Maps usually have a variety of layouts.

Map orientation may be rotated compared to the layouts presented.

How to Modify a Map

You can modify maps to suit your build(s).

You can re-roll maps for a chance to roll a preferrable set of affixes and corrupt maps to +% Density, +% Experience. There's a small chance of rolling the additional +200% Gold and Magic Find affix, which helps when you'd like to add +% Magic and Gold Find to find better items.


Corrupted maps also have a small chance of becoming a Pleasant Pasture (cows) map.
Best estimate: 3.4% (12 of 350) of rolling a Pleasant Pasture. It seems cow maps always have the Gold and Magic Find affix.


Corrupting 1,100 maps, the results don’t give an exact answer but give an estimate.

No change: 25% (+25% Density, +1% Experience),
-Life: 7.75% (+~27% Density, +1% Experience),
Gold Find and Magic Find: 8.375% (+50% Density, +4% Experience),
Magic damage: 7.5% (+423% Density, +11% Experience)
Cowmap: 3.375%

In the Horadric Cube transmute the map and items:

Corrupted map: These have a chance to increase monster density and experience however usually add more challenging affixes. You can also roll the +200% Gold and Magic Find affix.

Re-roll a map for a chance to roll a preferrable set of affixes.

6 Perfect Skulls + map.


You can also reroll a corrupted map.
