The following quality of life changes have been made in Path of Diablo (in progress).

General

  • Trade website with excellent functionality
  • Character limit per account increased to 18
  • Global chat

End-game

  • High runes now drop in a more linear rate (but are still very rare) to help with forging of high tier runewords due to the absence of bots and dupes
  • Various other major improvements in end-game content, see Dungeoneering and [1] for details

Inventory Management

  • Inventory size doubled (with charms only becoming 'active' in the lower half, to prevent balance issues)
  • Stash size doubled
  • Fast self-muling, as perming games now only requires 30 seconds

Client-server

  • No cheats, bots, maphacks, multiclients, or other non-permitted third party programs (kindly check the official FAQ for details)
  • Regional servers to dramatically reduce latency (many paid for by the community)
  • No "Realm Down" problem

Minor =

  • Slaughtering the Cow King no longer prevents creation of the Cow Level in future games
  • A handful of skills and affixes have been renamed for clarity
  • Shrines can be active simultaneously (and no longer overridden by becoming cursed)
  • Move Only command has been created and assignable to left-click to prevent unintentional monster targeting
  • A handful of monsters (e.g. dolls, gloams) have been slightly changed to limit largely unavoidable deaths in Hardcore mode

Instead of the drop rate for higher runes going down exponentially, it goes down linearly. Beating Normal Difficulty allows you to see Nightmare and Normal Games. Beating Nightmare Difficulty allows you to see Hell, Nightmare, and Normal Games.

This is a friendly server. This is not Bnet. If you come to play here, try to help out your fellow PoD adventurers. If someone is muling in a public game don't take their items.

Quality of life features/servers : Players now have a charm inventory.

It is basically a second inventory added below the original one. Charms will only work there and no longer clutter your inventory space. If you put a charm in the upper inventory, it's level requirement will jump above 100, in other words it will have no effect. In singleplayer this doesn't work, it's just a bigger inventory.

Loot filter: Make your own or use community filters.

Quickly move items to stash or ground via control/shift right click.

Inspect the gear of allies.

Game timer.

Advanced Character Sheet: see many stats you couldn't see before. ("8" to show the sheet)

Remembers your previous Game Name and Game Server.

Automatically party up/permit loot when players join game.

"First to reach level..." announcements.

When you create games, you can select a server near you for better ping. Here's the full list of servers.

POD Advanced trading website. It allows you to create trading posts and find items you are looking for based on your ladder type (Hardcore/Softcore).

Armory - Enter the character name to see their gear and setup. Use the POD Ladder tab to find the higher level character's names.

Improved protection against cheats.

(No Cheating Allowed. No Maphack. No Bots. No Multiclienting. See the rules here).

Move Only option (skill) that can be assigned to left click. Allows players to move around without attacking or casting accidentally.

The Cow King no longer spawn in the Secret Cow Level. (To not disable Cow Level creation upon his death)

Global chat system. Visit the "CHAT" tab of this subreddit to find out how to join the channel.

Improved detection and prevention against some cheating software.

You may now create up to 18 characters per account.

The stash size has been increased from 6x8 to 10x10.

You can have Multiple Shrines of the same type at once.*

All classes now start with +100 stamina. (Less walking at lower levels)

Base mana regeneration of all classes increased from 0.83% to 1.66%.
