A jewel with the 'Brute's' affix "melee attacks deal splash damage". Melee splash jewel

What is Splash Damage?

Splash damage adds damage in a cone-shaped area around the targeted enemy. If the initial target is missed, a separate chance-to-hit is then calculated for each monster within the cone. By increasing the area of effect (AoE) of melee attacks, this item goes some way to balancing the clear speed between caster and melee builds.
